1.France

Eiffel Scholarships

The Eiffel Scholarships Program was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help French institutions of higher education attract the best international students to their master's and doctoral programs with international scholarships. Its purpose is to train future foreign decision-makers in the public and private spheres in priority areas of study.

Benefits:

These international Eiffel scholarships have two components:
  • The master's component offers 12 to 36 months of funding to enable scholarship recipients to obtain a master's degree.
  • The PhD component supports mobility from 6 to 36 months.
For both program components, the scholarship is awarded for the academic year corresponding to the call for applications. The funded study period must begin between September 1 and December 31 of the year in which the international scholarships are awarded.

For master's studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,181 and can be awarded for 12 to 36 months. For doctoral studies, the international scholarships include a monthly allowance of €1,700 and are awarded for a maximum of 12 months.

In addition, the program covers various expenses including international transportation, national transportation, medical insurance, housing search and cultural activities.

Important note:

Tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel Program. However, French government scholarship recipients are exempt from tuition fees for programs leading to a national diploma (master's, doctorate) or an accredited engineering degree at public institutions of a scientific, cultural or professional nature supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. in accordance with article R719-49 of the national education code.o.


2. The Netherlands

Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS)

These international scholarships are designed for excellent students joining a full-time Master's program at Leiden University, with the exception of the LLM (non-advanced) and Master's programs at Leiden Law School.

Students must have achieved excellent academic results in their previous study programs, which must be relevant to the Master's program to which they are applying. As an indication, the student is among the top 10% of graduates in their previous study program. Please note that proof of ranking is not required; this information is only to indicate the level of competitiveness.

Benefits:

LExS international scholarships are awarded for the duration of the study program. Three levels of awards are available:

10,000 tuition

15,000 tuition fee

Full tuition fee minus legal tuition fee

3.Canada

York University - Undergraduate Student Bursary

International Undergraduate Student Bursaries are available to students who demonstrate financial need. The intent of the Undergraduate Bursary Program is to supplement, not replace, a student's primary sources of funding, such as educational savings, employment income and parental/spousal support.

Eligible students must:
  • have international student status (study in York with a valid study permit and pay international fees).
  • be registered and pursuing a bachelor's degree at the time of application
  • be in good academic standing
  • be enrolled in courses at the time of application
Both full-time and part-time students who meet the above criteria are eligible to apply for these international scholarships.

4. Sweden

Malardalen University Scholarship

Each year, Mälardalen University offers a limited number of international scholarships to students who apply for a master's degree program with the university as their first choice.

The international scholarships will cover 100% of the tuition cost of the program as long as they follow the normal curriculum (minimum 22.5 credits/semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year). These international scholarships do not cover living expenses.

5. Spain

University of Navarra and Santander Group scholarships for official master's degree programs

The Santander Group and the University of Navarra offer international scholarships for students of each of the official master's degrees that will be offered at the Pamplona, San Sebastian and Madrid campuses of the University of Navarra.

The international scholarships are intended only to cover 20% of the final cost of the master's degree tuition.

6. United Kingdom

University of Central London - Global Scholarships

The UCL Global Scholarships program supports international students from low-income backgrounds. It aims to promote access to study at UCL in order to promote a diverse student body. These international scholarships provide support for living costs and/or tuition fees for the duration of a degree program. Separate schemes are available for undergraduate and masters study.

UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship

The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship is open to all undergraduate programs and aims to enable and encourage low-income international students to pursue their degrees at UCL.

Benefits:
  • Up to 30 scholarships are available in 2023/24.
  • 10 full tuition fee and maintenance grant awards; 20 full tuition fee awards.
  • The scholarship is sustainable for the normal duration of the program.
  • Scholarship recipients are required to inform the UCL Student Finance Office immediately of any further funding awarded for their UCL undergraduate studies, before or after the award of the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship.
UCL Global Masters Scholarship

Benefits:
  • There are up to 75 (seventy-five) scholarships available in 2023/24, five of which are specifically targeted at students from India.
  • The value of the scholarship is £15,000.
  • The scholarship is sustainable for one year only unless the full time program is 2 years in duration. In that case the scholarship will be paid 50% each year.
  • The UCL Global Masters Scholarship can be made in conjunction with other scholarships, bursaries, awards or fellowships. The amount of the UCL award may be adjusted depending on the total value of other funds received by the student.
  • Scholarship recipients are required to inform the UCL Student Finance Office immediately of any other funding awarded to them for their UCL Masters studies, before or after the award of the UCL Global Masters Scholarship.
  • International scholarships will be applied to the recipient's tuition fees first, with the balance to be paid to the recipient in three equal installments, over the academic year, for maintenance.
7. Italy

University of Padua - Padua International Excellence Scholarship

The University of Padua offers 53 international scholarships to highly talented prospective students who wish to pursue a bachelor's or master's degree entirely in English in Padua.

This international scholarship program is highly selective. Only candidates who show the highest achievements and scholastic/academic records will be eligible to receive a scholarship. Successful scholars are expected to fulfill an ambassadorial role and represent the University at a number of events.

Benefits:

Fee waiver + €8,000 scholarship (gross amount) for each academic year. The only amount to be paid by the beneficiary students for each year consists of an admission fee, corresponding to the regional tax and the marca da bollo.

Duration:

The Padua International Excellence International Scholarships have a maximum duration of:
  • 2 continuous years for candidates to master's degrees;
  • 3 continuous years for candidates for Bachelor's and Single Cycle degrees.
8. United States

American University - Emerging Global Leader Scholarship

The UA Emerging Global Leader International Scholarship promotes educational access and opportunity while enhancing international diversity. Bringing together the best of AU (academic excellence, leadership development and global engagement), the UA Emerging Global Leader achieves, inspires and serves with vision.

Benefits:

These international scholarships cover all AU billable expenses (full tuition, room and board) for an international student to study in the United States. The scholarships do not cover non-billable expenses such as mandatory health insurance, books, airfare, taxes and miscellaneous expenses.

AU EGL International Scholarships are renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, based on continued satisfactory academic performance. Students interested in all majors offered at AU are eligible to apply.
